I have located some Ration books from the WWII time period. I would like to know if these are collectables and what they might be worth. If you have any info, please E-mail me.

Most Ration books are not that valuable, maybe $10 each. The valuable stuff is the gas rationing stamps or stickers. Few of those survived, but a lot of the food ration stamps survived.

They are very collectible, and the prices vary according to the type of ration book and if the stamps within the books are still intact and the over all condition of both the book and the stamps.

With regards to gas rationing books, in 1973 the British Government was on the verge of rationing gas (or petrol as we call it<g>. as I result ration books were issued on production of a vehicle licence and I was told by many people that they were identical to those issued in the war. They were printed on paper which was obviously of very low quality made from recycled clothing I think! I've still got mine!
