I read on yahoo somewhere someone Said

""About the SS.
If you wished to become a member of the SS, you had to swear a personal oath of allegiance to Adolf Hitler, "on your blood and your sword."
I would be very surprised if a member of the SS were NOT a member of the Nazi party, given the oath they had to take.
Equally, I can understand why they might deny membership after the war."

What kind of Oath did they take? what did they have to do. i know it says they had to do a oath but wat is that and what did they have to do in that oath

Well my great grandfather was in the 29th Grenadier Division of the Waffen SS, but he died when I was a baby, so I couldn't talk to him. From what I know, they had to be at least 5 foot 10, top physical condition, had to trace their blood back to 1750, and the blood had to be arian, you had to swear by your life to Hitler and the 3rd Reich, you had to have no blemishes, out of place teeth, you had to be extremly clean, and you were tested by Heinrich Himmler's excrutiating exercises. You had to be extremly sharp/smart, and you had to be at least 19 to join...

it was VERY, VERY hard!

Hope I could help!
