Robert E Lee Genealogy

Hello,

Can anyone point me towards any info regarding Robert E Lee’s direct descendants? In particular I am trying to discover if the actor Robert Duvall is one of his direct descendants (through his mother, as is reported on many websites, without any given line of descent, however), or perhaps only a collateral relation.

Not about his descendants- but did read of speculation that Abraham Lincoln was a distant cousin- as a result of a brief liason between one of Lee's great uncles and one of Abe's maternal ancestors.

He is not a descendant. Lee's ancestral home, Stratford Hall, lists all the descendants (www.stratfordhall.org). He may be a RELATIVE (ie distant cousin or grand-nephew), however. I have not seen any genealogy online to support it.
