I'm looking for information on or someone to contact who served with Arthur James Williams, Ptr./Cpl./Sgt. inlisted June 3, 1943 and transfered to the DCLI July 15, 1943 unit 64, then transfered to the KOYLI Unit 5 on Nov. 14, 1946. Released from service Oct. 3, 1947.

Other Units he served with while with the British Duke of Cornwall Light Infantry were 5BM, 3CID, 1DCLI, 5DCLI, 34RHU

I am attempting to complete a bibliography of his life and would love to communicate with someone who knew of his activities during the years 1943 and 1947

I am attaching a photo of him leaning against a large rock with writing on it. I can't quite make out the writing but it would appear to be BRE?ON amongst other words and date 1936.

Regards

Daryl Ashby

Daryl, as being a family member of a soldier (albeit European) and not knowing what happened to him, I can only recommend you to contact the Red Cross. I have done so and fortunately have find out what happened to my uncle. (after 65 years).

I'm looking for news about this Major Willians who served in Guyana in 1945 and helped Brasilian Government with the demarcation in our bars. Who knows something about him?

Maria, it's a shot in the dark asking this on the internet I also advise you to approach the International Red Cross because they have records of everybody ever involved in the war that time (and in every other war as well).
