Looking for World War II Information

Hello. My name is Justin W. Williams. I am a sophomore at Evansville Day School in Evansville, Indiana. EDS is a college prep school for those that were interested.

In my sophomore English class, we just finished read the 'A Seperate Peace' by John Knowles. To conclude the unit on the book, our teacher has asked us to select one of five different projects. I have chosen to do a report on what happened in the USA during World War II. I am looking for information on victory gardens, air-raid wardens, the stars that families with loved ones in the war put in windows, rationing, bonds, etc.

I have researched the Internet immensely as well as gone to the bookstore to get information for this report and I continue to do so. If anyone knows where I could find some information that could help me write this paper, please pass word along to me. I would be greatly appreciative.
