Hitler order to kill commandos

I understand Hitler ordered all captured paratroops and commandos interrogated by SD and then shot. This was to be carried out even if they were in military uniform and surrendered. Comments?

York, 1960, p.955: Hitler ordered the extermination of captured Allied commandos in the West. The Fuehrer’s Top Secret Commando Order of 18 Oct 1942 is among the Nazi documents:

challenged by German troops, even if they are in uniform, whether armed or unarmed, in battle or in flight, are to be slaughtered to the last man. [NCA, III, pp.416-417 (N.D.498-PS)]
