What i need is data and references about the armor ( in detail ) of the WW2 main battleships . I'm interested about the German, Italian, English, and French main battleships, expecially absut the following classes: GE: Bismarck Scharnhorst IT: Vittorio Veneto Conte di Cavour / Andrea Doria GB: Queen Elizabeth Hood Renown Nelson K.G.V F: Dunkerque Richelieu if possible answer to my question in the form: D: ( total decks armour in inches or cm. ) B: ( belt armor aft.-middle-fwd.in inches or cm. ) C: ( if present the Conning Tower armor in inches or cm. ) T: ( main armament turrets armor front-side-rear-roof in inches or cm. ) i'm very great for your help since now ( also for partial data ) thanks from IT Franco.

Franco-get a copy of S.Breyer, 'Battleship and Battlecruiser'. More data on armor of every BB and BC built and a lot of designs.

A number of books go into this in varying degrees of detail. One of the more complete books is:

Siegfried Breyer Battleships and battle cruisers, 1905-1970: historical development of the capital ship
