Has anybody ever read/heard anything on the Allied Control Commission??

I'm researching my grandfather who served in WW2 and found this in his DD-214:

Co.T 2675th Reg. ACC

campaigns:

Rome-Arno Po Valley

The only thing I could find in a book was ACC could stand for Allied Control Commision (council) , responsible for governing occupied territories once they army was through governing them.

The normally assigned divisions in the 5th U.S. army serving in the above campaigns were the 34th, 85th, 88th, 91st and 92nd (negro). None of these contained a 2675th regiment.

I've combed through a few of those 'order of battle' books and found no 2675th regiment listed. I found a 2677th regiment, which was assigned to the OSS in Italy.

I've begun to assume that my grandfathers regiment may have been similarly assigned to the ACC.....

I'd like to track down the units history (training, etc).

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The were responsible for governing areas liberated by the Allies (Italy, France, Germany)
